Izzy’s Ice Cream Voluntary Product Withdrawal

Izzy’s Ice Cream Voluntary Product Withdrawal

SAINT PAUL - Izzy’s Ice Cream is voluntarily withdrawing three flavors of ice cream after discovering glass fragments in a supplier’s container of cinnamon.  The cinnamon was purchased by Izzy’s from a third party and is used by Izzy’s in three flavors.   Izzy’s has not received any customer complaints and has not found any evidence of glass in any of its retail products.  However, Izzy’s is exercising the utmost of caution after discovering the glass in its cinnamon supplier’s package.

The three flavors involved are:  Soy (Non-Dairy) Pumpkin, Pumpkin, and Cinnamon ice cream.  The ice cream was sold between November 7, 2012 and December 31, 2012 in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region under the Izzy’s brand only and was available at grocery stores, restaurants and Izzy’s Ice Cream Cafe.  The lots effected begin with 1211 or 1212; no other lot numbers in the above flavors are impacted by this voluntary withdrawal.

Consumers with product involved in this voluntary withdrawal may discard it, return it to the store of purchase for a refund, or return it to Izzy’s Ice Cream Cafe for a refund.

If you have questions or concerns, you should contact Izzy’s at 651-603-5081.
